I am SO sorry. This email this week is going to be terribly short haha I apologize!
But I love you all. I love your emails. I love your kindness and your strong spirits. I miss all of you!!!
If I had one request for my birthday coming up this week it would be this: Take some time to go out of your way to serve someone else. It can be any act of service at all!! But if you would do this, for me, then that would probably be the best birthday present I could ever receive. Like, ever. Oh, and if you want to email me the experience afterwards that would be even greater ;)
Now on to the good stuff!!!
Miracles!
Ah. The miracles are without end when you are on the Lord's errands! This truly is His work!! Well, it was just a miracle that I didn't wash away really... I have finally experienced what it is like to have it rain every day.. multiple times during the day.
One morning while we were studying, I heard some thunder. Now, normally it's just a light drizzle here in England but this morning I saw flashes and it was just POURING outside! So I of course open the window and just listen to the rain. It reminded me of home and I think Heavenly Father knew I needed a good reminder of what a Texas Downpour sounds like ;) It was a tender mercy that's for sure!
I think the best part of miracles is looking back on them and realizing just how perfect the timing had to have been for the miracles to happen. It really just shows how much Heavenly Father is a part of our lives.. the exact timing of it all.
There were so many people we met this week where had it not been for the events and the perfect timing, we would never have crossed paths!!! So when you get a prompting to turn back, to go another way, or to just pause and take some time, DON'T IGNORE IT. Because Heavenly Father is probably putting you on the path to help someone in need. Or, he is putting you in someone else's path so that they might have the chance to help YOU.
Funny Moment!
Oh dear. All of the time! This week, it applies to rain. Surprise! ha We were on our way to a family's home when it started to rain so we walked faster! Well we came to a spot on the sidewalk where it wasn't raining. Weird. And so we stood there trying to figure it out. We heard what sounded like rain just pouring right behind us so we turned around and in one little spot on the road there was rain just dumping buckets! So we started to laugh for some reason or another because it looked funny I guess... but then the rain spot started to move toward us. It was like Indianna Jones style escape! ha We sprinted off and it just chased after us! Crazy stuff haha being chased by rain.. that's a first.
