Crewe's News
I just love where we live in Crewe. We live in this little area right behind an old police academy and I am just in love with my neighbors!!!!! Not like in love, but like I really love them. They are so cute! Well, the little kids are haha but they are so kind and lovely and I just could spend all day with them!
They've all been living next to missionaries for quite some time but it's so nice to just get to know them and say hi to them every day!
Family history is exploding! I am converted to Family History work oh my life! It is incredible! There is something about it that just warms my heart and you just get so excited to find names! It's the best ever! and I love talking about families with the people we meet on the street. You just can't help but start smiling when talking about the family :)
It's the summer holidays here so a lot of people have left to go on holiday to places like Spain, or Greece, or Ireland or well you, just those other casual weekend places no big deal. haha I love it! Well, except for the fact that the town feels deserted...
Sister Clawson just has one month before she goes home and so we are both working super hard! But it is kind of tough knowing that she gets to see her family soon and I still have an entire year to go, oh well! Press forward! Onward and upward! I have 5 months down! (well almost) and only 13 more to go!
Miracles! Miracles!
Oh wow. I don't even know where to start! haha So there are 3 that I will share this week and to make sure that I don't end up writing a novel tat looks way too long for anyone to read... I will give myself like 2 minutes to write each one and then I'll stop. So maybe they will all end up being cliff hangers for you haha
Until next time!
Just kidding.
Here they are :)
1. Kyley. Wow. We picked a road to start knocking all of the doors on and well it was really hot and NO ONE wanted to listen to us. So we were pretty discouraged to say the least. But! We had felt prompted to come here so there must be a reason! Just as we were going to head back to the bus station we decided we might as well finish knocking the road.
At the second to last house there was a woman who answered named Kyley. She didn't even live there! She was just visiting for a few days because her mom had just passed away last week. Wow. We talked to her about the Plan of Salvation and how she would be able to see her mom again! It was incredible to see how the Lord cared so much about her that He lead us to her doorstep :)
I just realized that I shared this miracle before... but I'm too lazy to delete it all and share another one so hopefully this just gives you a second dose of happiness.
2. As we were walking home one night there was a man who called out to us and then ran over. We were a bit alarmed because no one usually calls out to us so cheerfully haha but he came up and asked us what book we were holding. "It's the Book of Mormon, have you ever heard of it?"
To which he responded telling us that he had actually been baptised when he was 12 and had two copies of the book!! He hadn't been to church in 5+ years but that he always knew it was true. He wants to come back :) What a miracle!!
3. This one is incredible! This past Saturday we had what we call a 4 hour find, which means that we dedicate 4 hours to just finding people that we can teach. Last Sunday we had asked the ward to fast and pray for our success that day and they had all decided to fast and pray that we would find a family to teach.
That day, almost every single person we talked to was part of a family that they loved and we found 2 families to teach!!!! WOW! I just know that prayer and fasting works. It was a day full of miracles with people who had just been prepared to hear the gospel :)

Laughs upon Laughs
Oh dear. I have attached to this email a picture of a monster.
I hate spiders. Anyone who knows me or has lived with me knows that I am absolutely terrified of them. I think the most reoccurring nightmare I've ever had has involved spiders and if there was ever to be something that would scare me into a corner it would be a spider.
One night as Sister Clawson and I were getting ready for bed (actually on time this night too) I just hear a scream from the other room. "SISTER REED! ITS TWICE AS BIG AS THE OTHER ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Oh snap. #imgoingtodie #kingkongspider
And so I slowly approach the other room and there by our little dvd player is this massive house spider. SICK. I want to throw up right now just typing it on the keyboard haha
But anyways. We are sitting here planning it's removal at like 10:30 at night and I'm sitting on the back of our little rickety study chairs. When suddenly the inspiration comes to me. Lets Vacuum it...
Yeah. Brilliant idea, I know.
And so Sister Clawson goes to get the Hoover and as she approaches it she realizes there's no way she can do it alone. So here we are, both hyperventilating, and both with a hand on the hose. I'm still perched on top of my chair and she is like at my side. I'm practically in tears from this thing and we try to jab at it a few times but we miss. She's got this battle war cry thing going on and I'm getting light headed from all of the noise and sheer panic of the ordeal. Finally I just close my eyes and lunge for the darn thing. It all happened in like a second. I end up crashed on the floor because the chair flew out from under me, Sister Clawson's foot is all scraped up, the hoover is going crazy and we have no clue where the spider went.
So, we took the hoover to the bottom of the stairs in case the spider had been sucked up and wanted to crawl out and attack us.
The next day we had the Elders come and empty the bin for us.
They found it in there.. dead..
Mom, Dad, I hope that you are proud of me.
