Weekly Update

This happened a few weeks ago, but we had a zone conference where for the activity we amde sand castels! Out of brown sugar though. I can't remember if I sent the pictures or not but her eis the explanation for them anyways.. ours is the tower with Repunzel in it! Or tangled.. whichever one haha I got her out of a Kinder egg and had to bring her for the competition. There were some pretty impressive sand castles.

Our ward is doing a halloween trunk or treat this friday! Woo!! I am seriously so excited for it.

Because I am a kid.

AND I want to carve a pumpkin! Any suggestions? I have a feeling that I'm going to be carving something from Frozen if I leave it up to the kids here ;)

But I am seriously so impressed with the Saints in England. They are all so valiant in sharing the gospel with their friends! It's incredible. It is such an example to me. Even though most of them are terrified and really have no clue how to introduce it, they trust in the Lord and then they open their mouths and invite. And Brothers and Sisters that is all we need to do! There are Angels ministering among us and with us to soften the hearts of our neighbors and friends. So wherever you are, if your ward is doing something for halloween invite your friends and neighbors! It is the perfect opportunity to extend the invitation and I can promise you that you will feel fulfilled and full of joy at extending the invitation to come and partake of the everlasting joy of the Gospel of Christ!

Miracles

Miracles! The best part of my day and week!

Well, Adele is amazing. She has such a strong faith for a girl of now 17! We found out at church last Sunday that when Adele had first seen us walk up and read our badges she knew that the Lord answers prayers and is looking after her. What a special thing to hear! I know the Lord answers our prayers.

So we are teaching her still and while we taught her the restoration on Tuesday her mum stood in the doorway and listened to the whole thing!!! WOW! So pray for both of them if you will :)

On Friday we went out with another member and we split up to go and find more people to teach. Sister Warren and Michaela were going to go and see a less active lady named Sarah and a few others.

When we met back up again later they said that Sarah wasn't in, that she didn't actually live there anymore. We were a bit disheartened about it because her name especially stuck out to us when we were planning our day.

On Saturday we went out on splits again, I with Sam and Sister Warren with Laura.

At the end of the 2 hours Sam and I were heading back to our flat when we decided to knock on a few doors. Low and behold, a lady opens a door and I immediately start talking to her about families (seeing her little boy poke his head through the window) and how they are eternal! I hand her a pamphlet or something and she says "Thanks, but I'm already a mormon"

Oh. Awkward.

SO I just kind of stared at her for a few seconds and then replied "Well that's wonderful! We are so happy!"

Yeah, it was a good line, I know.

We then asked her name and she said it was Sarah. Wait, what?? Yeah! We found her! We were so excited and she told us to come back this week! She was so nice and I am just so excited to go back and visit with her. What a miracle. Of all the doors in Runcorn,eh?

Funny/Awkward

So besides the awkward moment listed above there were a few funny moments this week too.

This one happened at Ward coorelation meeting. We were having it at a members home who has a small dog named Bolt. I made some cookies which we brought out at the very end and one of the elders took one and was holding it in his hand. We went to take a bite but then we asked him a question so he put is hand down and began telling us some sort of story that took all of his concentration haha well, this dog bolt had come up and licked his hand without him realizing it. But as soon as his story was done he ate the cookie and then proceeded to lick his fingers while we all looked on in horror. Poor elder had no idea the dog licked his fingers! haha
