SO I have only like 10 minutes left because i am a huge procrastinator when it comes to emailing. I'm the worst. And I say that every week but hey, you know what? One of these weeks it might actually change!
Just wait for it. And don't hold your breath.
So first things first, ADELE IS DATED FOR BAPTISM!
She is so wonderful. I just love her to pieces! She has such a sincere desire to learn more and to find out really why she is here. So we will just continue to pray for her and to help her to come to know who she is as a daughter of God.
Also.
I had a whole list of things to email about this week and I don't know where I put it. #missionarylife #oops
So I'll just try to give you some watered down versions of my week... if that was even a word? I have like 8 minutes now so you will all just have to deal with my made up words and misspelling of things. #sorrynotsorry
We had our ward Halloween party on Friday! It took us forever to set up but it was so much fun! We did a Trunk or Treat and there were so many amazing cars decorated! The Zone leaders have a car and we didn't have any Halloween decorations.. but Sister Warren found some wrapping paper on the street (random, I know) but she just couldn't leave it there! SO then the bright idea came to me that we just needed to get all of our Christmas decorations together and set up our car that way... so I think it turned out pretty good, don't you?
Besides that.. it is getting seriously cold here. I'm not a happy camper. That's alright. It's only one Christmas here! So I'll survive somehow.
Oh. And learning to drive in England is fun.
And scary.
But mostly its like riding a mini roller-coaster every time you are approaching a round about here in England. And my driving instructor I found out doesn't like it when you sing.
But he's a good man, Jimmy.
Funny Moments
Well. Sister Warren can sleep through just about anything. Except when I sleep talk. Well, really she wasn't asleep yet so that doesn't count.
BUT! We have this alarm on our fridge, it suits on top of it, and we weren't really sure what it was for... it looked like a fire alarm and a carbon monoxide alarm mixed together.
And I know, you're probably thinking that we could just read what it says that it is.... and trust me we did. But unfortunately, none of us speak German.
Anyway, this alarm goes off in the middle of the night like four times! Sister Warren just sleeps right through it and I wasn't going to make Sister Powell get up and turn it off so about 4 times that night I make my way to the kitchen to try and turn this stupid thing off.
It was really annoying.
Good thing Sister Warren has us otherwise if there was any real trouble she would just sleep right through it!
So we just ask some members of our ward if they knew what it was and everyone kept telling us something different.
So after the Halloween party a member drove us home and she came in to have a look at it.
About 20 minutes, google translate, and a butter knife later... she leaves and we have a wonderful nights sleep without the interruption of this faulty alarm.
No worries mom.. we still have fully functioning alarms in our flat!
Quotes of the Week
"So.... are you picky about your toilet paper?"
"Now we have 4 brains! Well, three and a half... mine's the half"
"I'll always be nanny Linda"
"Unless you change your name to... ross"
"Aw Sick!! You just put your hand on a spider!!"
"That's how you make friends"
"Hey, I just fixed my skirt with a bobby pin and some dental floss"
Well, that's about it for this week! I'm excited because this week is Bonfire night... if you want to know what it is google "Guy Fawlkes" haha I don't have the time and my fingers don't have the energy to actually tell you. So have fun.
Meanwhile, we'll be sitting in our flat watching fireworks and hanging up Christmas decorations.
I love you all!
Stay safe!
Keep Praying!
Loads of Love from England,
Sister Reed
